una serie di incontri curati da Studio Ossidiana e Martina Muzi. Inizi Continui, il titolo che abbiamo voluto dare a questa giornata e agli incontri che la seguiranno, é il modo in cui vorremmo parlare di design oggi: un lavoro di dialogo e traduzioni, in cui il progetto diventa lingua comune tra autori e conoscenze diverse. Verbo oltre che oggetto, il design lega persone e materiali, lavoro e idee, non produce solo oggetti ma conoscenza e relazioni.
Per questa occasione, lo studio di design Tellurico, guidato dal designer, scultore e artigiano Francesco Pace racconterà la relazione tra artigianato e ambiente tramite una presentazione ed una performance in cui scolpirà un totem in legno. A seguire, la designer e ricercatrice Roberta di Cosmo guarderà alla pandemia degli alberi di ulivo nel territorio mediterraneo usando il design come strumento per esplorare i sapori, gli odori e i gesti connessi all’ulivo, alle olive e all’olio tramite una presentazione e una performance culinaria.

The Embassy of Italy in the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Italian Institute Cultural Institute in Amsterdam are pleased to invite you to
“Continuous Beginnings,”
a cycle of events curated by Studio Ossidiana and Martina Muzi. “Continuous Beginnings,” the title we have chosen for this day and the subsequent meetings, is the way in which we would like to talk about design today: a work of dialogue and translations, in which the project becomes a common language among different authors and knowledge. More than just an object, design connects people and materials, work and ideas, producing not only objects but also knowledge and relationships.
For this occasion, Tellurico Design Studio, led by designer, sculptor, and craftsman Francesco Pace, will explore the relationship between craftsmanship and the environment through a presentation and a performance in which he will sculpt a wooden totem. Following that, designer and researcher Roberta di Cosmo will look at the pandemic affecting olive trees in the Mediterranean region, using design as a tool to explore the flavors, scents, and gestures associated with olive trees, olives, and olive oil through a presentation and a culinary performance.
The vent will be in English language, free entrance upon reservation
