On the occasion of the 2025 edition of the National Made in Italy Day, established by Law No. 206/2023 and celebrated annually on 15 April, the anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci’s birth, the Embassy of Italy in The Hague, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Amsterdam, is organising the event “ITALY: Journey through Innovation, Tradition, Art and Entertainment”.

The initiative aims to promote the excellence, creativity, and cultural value of Made in Italy, highlighting the importance of protecting the uniqueness and quality of Italian production—symbols of both tradition and innovation. This second edition is dedicated to the theme “Made in Italy between identity and innovation”, with a particular focus on innovation and new technologies, which are key to the global competitiveness of Italian enterprises.

The event will feature a discussion panel on how Italian products have achieved international recognition, emphasizing the concepts of taste, style, and creativity.

Highlights include:

Dr. Matteo Fochessati, Curator of the Wolfsoniana – Palazzo Ducale Fondazione per la Cultura, Genoa, will present “Exporting Made in Italy”, a talk exploring how Italian products rose to prominence during the post-war economic boom and how promotion strategies shaped Italy’s cultural and industrial identity on the global stage.

Industry experts and company representatives from the water technology sector, including:

Nello Paloni & Walter van der Schoot (RAI Amsterdam) on RAI’s role in connecting Italian businesses to international opportunities.
Federica Fiore (Atlas Filtri) on Italian water solutions for a sustainable future.
Francesco Pietrolucci (EMEC Pumps) on the collaboration between EMEC and Italian institutions in the Netherlands.
