Print

The Embassy of Italy in The Hague, the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Amsterdam and Stefano Boeri Architetti present the volume

Bosco Verticale | Morphology of a Vertical Forest (Rizzoli, 2025)

An event dedicated to the evolution of the Bosco Verticale model and to the future of urban forest projects between Italy and the Netherlands.

26 May, 7:30 PM
Keizersgracht 564, Amsterdam

Following the pioneering project Bosco Verticale, completed in 2014 in Milan, Stefano Boeri Architetti has developed this model internationally. Notable examples include Trudo Vertical Forest in Eindhoven, which applies the concept to social housing, and Wonderwoods Vertical Forest in Utrecht, the first mixed-use vertical forest for public use.

The book presentation will be followed by a conversation with architects Stefano Boeri and Francesca Cesa Bianchi, partners of the firm, in dialogue with Dutch architect and researcher Katja Hogenboom.

The event offers an opportunity to reflect on the role of urban forests as an ecological and social infrastructure, highlighting the collaboration between Italy and the Netherlands in promoting a more sustainable, resilient urban model that integrates nature into urban spaces.
